Who we are

Information we collect

• Enquiries. When you contact us by phone, WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram, we receive the details you choose to give us, such as your name, phone number, address or postcode and a description of the work you need.
• Quote form. The quote form on our contact page does not send your details to our website. It prepares a WhatsApp message on your own device, which you choose whether to send. Anything you send is then handled through WhatsApp.
• Project information. If you become a customer we hold the information needed to quote, carry out and invoice the work, including site address, drawings, photographs, quotations and payment records.
• Technical data. Our web host may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.

How and why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and provide quotations (taking steps at your request before entering into a contract).
• To carry out and manage building work and to invoice you (performing our contract with you).
• To keep records required by law, such as accounting and insurance records (legal obligation).
• To keep our website secure and working properly (our legitimate interests).

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Some media on this site, such as the home page video, is delivered by a content delivery network, which means your IP address will be processed by that provider in order to send the file to you. Links to Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp take you to third-party services with their own privacy policies.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information where needed to deliver your project or meet legal duties, for example with building control, structural engineers, architects, suppliers, subcontractors working on your property, insurers and loss adjusters where we are carrying out insurance work, and our accountants. Anyone we share it with must keep it secure and use it only for that purpose.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months. Project and financial records are kept for as long as the law requires, normally six years, and guarantee-related records for the length of the guarantee we give you.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for it to be provided in a portable format.
